Why start grinding of electrodes?

In order to avoid striking problems and a creeping arc when DC TIG welding, the electrodes should be grinded pointed to the current conduction for AC TIG welding a thin arc on the electrode from Ø 1.6 mm in current conduction direction of a phase needs to be grinded!

With the ESG 1 electrodes can be regrinded up to 200 times (from 15 mm length up to Ø 4.0 mm on)!
