NEW TURNING GRADE WITH HIGH PRODUCTIVITY
Widely applicable cemented carbide with functionally gradient all-purpose middle-grain substrate, with medium content of cubic carbides, provided with medium thick special MT CVD coating.
It is the basic type for turning with wide application field for steels, cast irons and corrosion-
resistant steels; it combines abrasion resistance with good toughness.
Suitable for middle and higher cutting speeds at uninterrupted and interrupted cut.
Quality 9230
HEAT RESISTANCE ENHANCEMENT
New coating at grade 9230 gives a sufficient heat protection to indexable inserts; it causes
that the insert withstands against much higher temperatures at enhanced cutting
speed.
Combination of coating and substrate gives to cutting tips resistance to plastic
deformation.
ENHANCED ABRASION RESISTANCE
New coating on grade 9230 gives higher wear resistance to indexable inserts.
